A Dive into Flash Fiction - High School Stories

When I was in High School I had my first story published in a newsletter that my friend made and printed out. It was such a huge deal, I hadn't been published except for the two poems, so this was such a neat thing for me, knowing that others would be reading my stuff. She wanted a short piece, that I now know is flash fiction. At the time I had just began diving into the world that I will be spending a ton of my time in later in life. The story was about a witch named Ryan who spent his nights getting captured by slayers and then escaping their cells.

He would then, if he felt compelled too, leave them a letter telling them how to fix their security. I loved this character because he was always acting as if things were such a game. The more I developed him, the more I liked him and enjoyed his sense of humor and skill. He's in some of my newer work just as crazy as he was back then.
