During High School I took an interest in drama, mostly working backstage, but there was a time I was on stage as well. In that time though working in plays. I became interested in how scripts worked. I took a drama class and wrote my own monologue as well as a few plays. (Stage direction and all). They weren't all that good... but hey, I was in high school, give me a break.
Now that I am older and have broadened my horizons, I'd love to get back to this and write myself a hit Broadway musical.... except well... yeah, that ain't gonna happen. LOL
Anyway, I wrote two plays in high school.
Taking Lives (I wrote a short story called this too): The play is about a girl who is trying to escape a gang that she once thought were her friends. (The short story is not the same).
The second one is probably my favorite and if I can find, I might return to.
Stole: It was written after hearing the song "Stole". It's the kids from that songs stories. Back then we were talking still a LOT about Columbine, it was still fresh for everyone (only a few years. Columbine was April of 1999 and Stole came out in September 2002) The twin towers were still fresh in our minds... the loss of life was real, it was scary times. So this was how I helped cope with it all.
I don't know where either of these are, I'm sure they are with my old high school stuff if they have survived my moves. I don't think either of them got typed out though, just hand written.

If you have not heard the song, Stole before -Well you are missing out. Check it out here:
