A Darker Shade of Magic - Book Review

I love fantasy novels. I've been reading for years and when I went into a dry spell of not knowing what to read, I went to Barnes and Noble to search for something that would spark my interest. I scanned the fantasy section until this book caught my attention.

I read a lot of different types of fantasy, but A Darker Shade of Magic was not something I'd picked up. The book is about magicians with the power to travel between worlds (different worlds of London). The book focuses on two characters, a male magician with a side job and a women looking for some adventure. I won't give spoilers if you haven't read it... but let's just say I read all three in a couple days.

The characters aren't stereotypical, the writing is stellar, their are twists, turns and excitement on every page!

If you're into high fantasy, and like magical realism, you'd enjoy this series!
