So here we are at part six. You will find with these next few that I shift away from the typical vampire love human, or human loves werewolf type story. Instead I begin to mix the contemporary style stories that I used to read, and still did read, with the fantasy styles to make my own mix of things.

At this time I was very much into reading Lurlene McDaniel and her books (My favorite being The Angels Trilogy). But I had just finished reading One Last Wish (Which is a collection of three books in one) and if you have never read her before, they are all about young people, typically girls, with tragedies. Often dying of something. I was hooked. Five bucks and I got three stories that would last me half a day and I could reread over and over again. (Again showing my age here cause guess how much that book would be now right?)

So how do I put that kind of tragedy into a fantasy setting? Pst, piece of cake, toss in a vampire, witch or werewolf. Duh.

Welcome to book six: Remembering the Past (Huh, wonder what this will be about)...

So the story follows our main character Cassidy. (I love the name by the way and I never use it again but it was a good name for me back then, very usual). Cassidy is found by Danny a high schooler at the local school. Cassidy doesn't remember anything (Well I mean she remembers the basics, but doesn't remember her own past). So Danny brings her home to his parents, Dan and Amanda. Dan has a younger sister, Elizabeth and I believe... an older brother Mark. And a friend, Josh.

The family takes Cassidy in and the story follows her trying to remember her past. I'm gonna be honest, I'm pretty sure she's a vampire. (Not sure how she survives so long not drinking blood without knowing this... but hey, I guess if you don't remember you need to drink blood then you can live not drinking blood right?) That's how that works.

This was my first longer piece at a whole 20 pages front and back, hand written, single spaced on lined wide ruled paper. Sadly, I don't think I have this one anymore.
