So I told you I did try a lot of different things back in High School. For awhile, I worked on poetry. I even got one published into a collection of poems. It won and it was put onto a plaque. (I wish I knew where the plaque was... or the collection of poems it was published in was... or the audio CD that I bought that it was on...) Anyway, the poem was called Born of and it was one of my first poems that I wrote. After that I wrote many others. I don't think they were any good, to be fair, I am a harsh judge of my work and I don't like much of it.

Back then I enjoyed poetry, my favorite was The Tyger by William Blake I just loved the words and the meaning of it. In college I took a class about classic poetry, I had to memorize a poem and read it to the class. I picked She Walks in Beauty by Lord Byron which soon became another favorite of mine, though it never beat out The Tyger.

My stuff never got to be like these great poets and I doubt if I go back to poetry that they ever will, but it was nice to step into it a little.

Next week I will give you a sample of some of my old poetry pieces, until then, you have not heard The Tyger or She Walks in Beauty, you should check them out below. They are some good classic pieces.

I have about half of these poems still and a handful of others that aren't on this list.

Which poem did you like better? (Don't be bias if you are a fan of Loki! LOL Yes his voice is great... but so is the first reader too!) Let me know in the comments below.
