Happy Easter!

With Easter comes the start of Spring! Unless you live in Michigan where the weather really can't make up it's mind for anything... like a couple weeks ago, we had 70 weather on Monday and by Friday it was 20 with 4 inches of snow (FEET in some parts of Michigan). Why is everyone sick? Well... speak to month nature.

In our home the kids are older so Easter is not as huge a deal. This year we celebrated early with family and younger cousins. My youngest (10) colored some really cool eggs that I found several years ago that I love. They are this plastic/paper feel that comes with dye.... but honestly look GREAT with markers. They decorate and the Easter Bunny hides them. That's... about our plans for the day.

We shifted to those eggs a couple years ago cause the fur babies enjoy finding them at night after the bunny hides them... and batting them around the house. This leads to broken eggs and in some case eaten. (Why they think shell tastes good is beyond me).

So how do those in the Bound in Blood and Shadows world celebrate Easter? Well... good question.

For those in the Secrets of Darkness series (Which takes place in the early 2000s) I imagine many, if they do celebrate, decorate eggs. Once you get into the Ruins of War series (taking place in 2044) I imagine the holiday, like the others, has changed. Money is tight and many wouldn't waste food by coloring and hiding it. There is likely alternatives, like the eggs we use, or they hide other things like painted rocks and such.
