Cover Reveal!! - Knowing

So I wrote part one of Knowing when I was in college. It was a stand alone short story that was... probably one of the darkest things I've written. It later turned into two short stories... then three and finally I decided I need to make a part four. Because of this, Knowing became a full size novel, written in parts.

I went through a ton of ideas for the cover and I STRUGGLED to find a cover that I liked. Normally I'm not super picky about covers but just... nothing felt right. I asked a friend who does covers to draw me a cover. I gave her great details about what I wanted to see and she gave me the cover I had asked for down to the T... but once I saw it, I wasn't sure it was a good fit.

I asked another friend who does covers to make one for me and again, she did amazing and came up with a fantastic cover for me... that also seemed off and not quit right. (I swear I am not normally so picky about these things!)

Finally I was talking to another friend and telling her my situation and bless her heart... she made me eight mock-ups. Yup... eight... LOL. She was determined to get it right!

So before I show you the final cover, I want to show you all of the hard work that went into this cover. (It was a lot... trust me)

From friend one - Here are her two designs.

I do love the text and the characters are spot on but... it looks like a love triangle, which it is not (though I am going to tell you, this is what I asked for so she got it spot on!)

The second attempt

I liked these ones as well, and again... she gave me what I asked for... but it isn't JUST about the one person, it's about all three (and I didn't like the one with all three as much).

So attempt three... (I warned you there was a lot of attempts to this cover).

I gave her no real direction, just colors and a summary of the book. She came up with a wide range of covers that I liked. Well one of those eight covers became the Real Cover. Notice there is only 7 up there? That's because I'm about to show you the cover that got picked.

So without further ado, here is the cover for Knowing!
